BOSCAINI VINICIO

Vinicio Boscaini (Este 1927 - Solesino 2023). In the last meeting that took place more than five years ago, before the pandemic giving a reference, he confided to Alain Chivilò he had gone too far, overcoming his beloved figuration with a Cubist and Surrealist flavor excessively synthesizing the pictorial action.
As highlighted by the art critic and curator dr Alain Chivilò "the painter Vinicio Boscaini codified in a personal style different approaches to the history of art trying to determine his own solution. His references were many from Picasso's and Braque's Cubism, to the dreamy atmosphere of Matisse, until the stylistic solutions of the colleague Lino Dinetto. From these elements we can notice and trace leitmotifs within the portraits, nudes, landscapes and still lifes. The beloved Colli Euganei and the dreamlike Venices have defined and instilled new lifeblood into personal artistic research".
Precisely in the Euganean Hills, Baone, Vinicio Boscaini lived looking for peace, tranquility and serenity for constant inspiration from his artistic activity. At the beginning as Jehovah's Witness (JW), he studied the Bible so much as to be a precise popularizer along the meetings that took place over the years at his Little House.
He was a painter of sure vocation, also encouraged by his friend and colleague Eugenio Da Venezia. Boscaini participated in the most important movements culture of the Veneto region.
He lived and painted in the United States for several years. Since 1968 he has exhibited throughout Europe beyond Italy, such as France, Germany, Switzerland.
Dino Formaggio wrote in the past decades how "Vinicio Boscaini's painting is born from an obstinate and rigorous spirit of research and meditation, not without his inner solitary religiosity in the face of the organic universes of living nature".
Latest events:
in 2010 an anthological exhibition held at the Monumental Complex of San Paolo in Monselice, with about one hundred works selected from the works of the last ten years.
In 2011, from 04/09 to 09/10, in Padua at Palazzo Zuckermann the personal exhibition: "The metaphysical Venezie of Vinicio Boscaini". After the one-man show in 2002, the Municipality of Padua-Culture Department dedicates another exhibition space to Vinicio Boscaini for another theme dear to the artist. Bewildered Venices, an unreal, fantastic, magical and impossible Venice that Boscaini portrays in painting with infinite perspective and chromatic variations; almost an obsession, finally reported in images, a lifelong companion.
On 10 September 2011 Vinicio Boscaini received the II art prize in memory of Danilo Cestari with the soprano Francesca Patanè, at the Salieri theater in Legnago.
In 2014 from 26/04 to 11/05 two exhibitions in the medieval village of Arquà Petrarca: "Sintesi" at the Foresteria Palazzo Callegari and "Retrospettiva" at Casa Strozzi.
In 2017, the solo show "Vinicio Boscaini. Contemporary Art after Picasso" from 17 to 28 September, at the Pescheria Nuova in Rovigo.
In 2019, the solo exhibition "L'Acqua e L'Oro". Recent works" from 9 to 24 November at the Cavour Civic Gallery in Padua.
In 2020 at the Ex Chieseta dell'Annunziata, Este. In 2021 "L'Acqua e L'Oro" at Palazzetto dei Vicari, Teolo.
