Mario Solazzo (Novoli, Le, 14/05/1944) arrives in Turin at the age of 17 years where he also attended the Italian school of the Arts Centre, which is important for hosting artists and musicians of the twentieth century. Over time, mature in him a love for art, for example meeting the teacher Raffaele Pontecorvo, head professor of the Institute of Artistic Turin. The landscape of the mountains fascinates a lot him, taking an example by the local painters such Botto, Italo Mus, Deleani and others.
In 1978 he moved to Cividale (Ud) where he still works in association with the gallery at Cortina d'Ampezzo. The winter and summer mountain landscapes of the Alpi and Dolomiti become in Solazzo the main theme, combining the subject of city markets.
Apparently, he is a man of simple albeit with an original personality, but of great culture and not only artistic. Very active participant in national and international artistic life, he participated in major events, contests, prizes, setting up both collective and personal exhibitions in Rome, Milan, Turin, Cagliari, Udine, Bergamo, Cividale, Trieste, Bologna, Aurisina, Baricella, Tolmezzo, Piancavallo, Bari, Paris, Kolm, London, Stockholm, Edinburgh, Cologne, Salzburg, Venice, Florence, Palmanova, Sauris, Castelfranco Veneto, Bertiolo, Tettnang, Friedrichs-Hafem, Bassano del Grappa, Pordenone and Cortina d'Ampezzo .
Over 300 are personal and collective exhibitions with works all over the world. He is present in major publications and national and international art catalogs, including the International Catalogue of Modern Art.
