MASSAGRANDE MATTEO
Matteo Massagrande was born in Padua (1959). He studied from childhood the painting techniques of the past centuries.
The city of Treviso marked his debut on 1973. The following year he met Giovanni Barbisan where he learned engraving techniques, establishing a great friendship. In 1975, the painter Luigi Tito invited him to the Free School of Nude at the Art Institute imparting the importance of the matter in the work dynamic.
The following year he met Guido Cadorin: as a teacher in the first lesson learned how to point pencil, while in later were dedicated to egg tempera fifteenth. In 1977 he met the pictor optimus Giorgio De Chirico.
Accomplishes several study tours in the US, Belgium, Holland and Germany. In Paris in 1985 he attended Orfeo Tamburi from whom he learned to love the city in its various visions subsequently trying to repeat the same format representative. In 1986 in England he created a cycle of frescoes and paintings in a historic building in London.
On 1993 he married Angela and Hungary, a country that for Massagrande becomes a second home because here it’s possible to feel a unique atmosphere different from Italy.
There are numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. On 2011 at the Italian Pavilion, Veneto region, the 54th Biennale Venezia at Villa Contarini.
In 2014/2015 in Vicenza, Palazzo Chiericati, 24/12 - 08/03/15 exhibition “Notti come piume” with thirteen paintings of recent production.
