ANNALÙ

Annaluigia Boeretto, alias Annalù, (San Donà di Piave 1976) lives and works in his native city. Annalù studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Annalù Boeretto in 1999 participated at Percorsi d’Arte at GAM in Bologna and in 2001 at the Venice Biennale. She had important shows at Museo di Storia Naturale in Venice e in Rocca Paolina in Perugia (Burri Foundation) in 2005. The same year she had her first two solo shows, Architetture dell’immaginario, at Fabbrica Eos Milan and I can Fly, Galleria Radar in Mestre (Ve).
Igor Zanti wrote: “In Annalù’s works, there is an ever-present sense of passage and evolution. In her work, the artist tries to pinpoint the moment in which the transformation takes place and to understand the mechanism and forces that are the basis of the process inherent in the passage between one state and another, whether it be a purely physical state or a psychological and spiritual one. Annalù relies on the metaphorical element of the butterfly, which has become a sort of distinctive figure in her recent work and which embodies the symbolic role of the concept of metamorphosis. Through the skilful use of different materials such as wood, cement, resin, bitumen and metals, the artist tries to reaffirm this concept at an almost tactile level. The various elements join together and merge, like in a magician’s or alchemist’s cauldron, to create new realities and physical states or to free the bodies that confine them. Annalù’s work lies in that transitional moment between painting and sculpture, in a middle round that, however, allows the artist to try out different expressive possibilities”.
Hyperballad in 2006 with Venice Design Art Gallery in Venice. She participated to Artissima 13 in Turin and Verona Art Fair. In 2007 she opened Atmosphere, a solo show at the Galleria Civica Comunale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in San Donà di Piave (Ve) where she also acted as a performer, and Sky the limit, a solo show at Galleria Polin in Treviso. In 2007 she participated in many group exhibitions: Animals at the Galleria Barbara Mahler in Lugarno (Switzerland); The desert Generation pat the Ha’Kibbutz Art Gallery in Tel Aviv and the Artist House in Jerusalem; Genius Loci: i giardini segreti di Venezia at the Cà Cappello palace in Venice, The Arte Laguna international painting contest in Treviso (where she won 2 jury special prizes) and the contemporary art fair in Bologna, Verona and Padua. In 2008 she opened: Sui passi alati di Herme, as solo show at the Zaion Gallery in Biella, Soul’s Spin at the Galleria Valentinarte in Cernobbio (Como), Ascension at the S. Antonio church, (Treviso) and Blooming on the loom at the Wannabee Gallery in Milan.
In 2008 Annalù won the 1st Stonefly Prize "Walk with art" and began an artistic collaboration with the Company. The shows of 2008 are: Love at the GAM of Palazzo Ducale in Pavullo (MO); Sex Toys at the Wannabee Gallery of Milan; the International Prize Arte Laguna (4 sculpture Special Awards) and two group shows at the new space of the Forni gallery in Ragusa (Sicily).
In 2009 she exhibited in group shows at the Forni Gallery in Bologna and at Wannabee gallery in Milan. She also presented at International Fair of Furniture Design E pluribus unum, furniture in limited series (9 pieces) with the Company Capod'opera Design. 2009 started with many solo exhibitions: Fluttuazioni in Spazio Forni in Ragusa and with the Special Prize Arte Laguna at the Gallery III Millennium in Venice; she also participated at a group exhibition at the Art Fusion Gallery in Miami (Florida). Annalù is chosen to represent Italy in the international group show at the Moya Museum in Vienna; she took part in the group show at The Museum of the Living Artist in San Diego (USA) and in a group show of Italian artists at the gallery Le Cheval du sable in Paris. Moreover she presented an unusual installation at E Lucean le stelle organized by Art & Art at the Church of San Francesco in Como. At the same time she exhibited at Spazio Juliet and at Modern Living in Los Angeles. In October Annalù presented the 2nd design furniture series with the Company Capod'opera Design at the fair in Frankfurt and Dubai.
On 2010 he started with the solo exhibition CONsidera DESIdera, at the holy church of San Salvador in Rialto, Venice, organized by Galleries Melori and Rosenberg and by the Studium Generale Marcianum . In March 2010 the artist presents a new production of works at the Wannabee Gallery in Milan with the solo exhibition AQUA implementing new experiments on Water and she presents in this occasion a new performance with the musician Lorenzo Pagliei (Paris). She presented three Solo Exibition: Il Filo del Pensiero at the Government House in Syracuse, the three-person at the DAC Gallery in Los Angeles and the Histoire de l'eau at Zaion Gallery of Biella. Reverie is a Solo exhibition at the Galleria Forni in Bologna, where the artist presents a collection of jewellery and sculptures and new works. Annalù has exhibited in many Italian museums, and her works are in public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
In 2011 the participation at the Pavilion Veneto of Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta, for the 54. edition of the Venice Biennale, Italian Pavilion, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi with a new work. In addition, the exhibition at Wannabee Gallery in Milan, under the care of Ivan Quaroni, "Le voyage imaginaire", with a new cycle of works.
On 2012 the exibition "Come la nave galleggia sull'acqua, così la terra" at Castellano Arte Contemporanea in Castelfranco Veneto from 31/03 to 21/04. A summary of her journey through some of the most significant works produced over the past four years.
On 2012, the collaboration with the Gagliardi Gallery in San Gimignano and the exhibition De Rerum Natura from 6 to 28/10.
